Sony Party Shot

The IPT-DS1 Party Shot "Automatic Photographer" camera accessory was announced on August 5, 2009 (read the Party Shot press release) and is a portable camera dock which you can set up on a tripod or any flat surface.

Once switched on, the IPT-DS1 starts panning and tilting up to 360 degrees and 24 degrees respectively, automatically detects faces, adjusts composition and takes photos for you.

At the time of launch, the IPT-DS1 is only compatible with the Cyber-shot DSC-WX1 and TX1 cameras, which were announced simultaneously with this product.

The Party Shot requires two AA batteries, and can operate up to 11 hours.
